My dogs taught me this. They would get so upset when I would verbally express what I thought of the merging drivers that it would take 10 minutes to calm them down. So, I have learned to just expect other drivers to do stupid things and quietly accommodate them. Oh . . . and I put disc brakes on the trailer .

And everyone has to get in front of the truck and or trailer no matter how bad they cut you off. After all these vehicles do stop on a dime don't they. One of my pet peeves is people getting on the freeway doing 35. I guess they quit teaching in drivers ed that your'e supposed to match the speed of traffic and then merge safely. Doing that you wouldn't make everyone crazy.

I think it was Pittsburg, they don't merge, they just stop and wait for enough room to get on the freeway, it was exciting to learn this.

Was a cowboy for a couple of years back in the late 60’s, when working cattle we would mark the ones in heat with paintball gun and then in the afternoon go out and cut out those marked and move them. I often thought after living in the Silicon Valley for 35 years that ought to mark the bad drivers the same way. Caught texting, talking on the cell phone, doing something stupid that caused other people to have near misses or wrecks and drive off in ignorance. Get 5 marks and you loose your car, 10 marks and loose driving forever

I'd be afraid some bad drivers may shoot back with something other than a paintball gun.
Whittleburner, I'm with you. I don't mind being passed while towing, just wish folks would give me a bit more room when cutting back in.

FWIW.....I can deal with car drivers doing stupid things, it's the folks that are towing some form of trailer or class a or c drivers or 18 wheelers that evade me. I mean, of all the drivers, I would think they would be the most whatever when it comes to "lane etiquette". We went on a trip over New Years and I can't tell you how many RV'ers I saw that were just parked in the middle lane with no traffic to their right (except when folks passed them on the right) and no entrance ramps.
But.....like others have said, after some period of being irritated with drivers on my 70 mile interstate 95 round trip commute, I got to that place where I just didn't let it bother me any more. However.....I must confess that I cheated by taking Prozac.
