Allstays (one word) is a paid app in the Apple App Store. A search will turn it up. A free app that is also useful is RVParky.

There was an article last week in the State Journal Register in Springfield, IL about the city fining the Wal-Mart on the Southside of town (I55 / I72 Split area) $18,000 for allowing trucks to park in their lot. The article did not mention rather RVs also violated the ordinance they were being fined for, but you can bet they wouldn't allow any large vehicle parking again.

When we head south for a 3 week trip in sept/oct we overnight at a Walmart. Arrive about 8 have a quick dinner at a local restaurant, shop for groceries and whatever else we need. Up early the next day and following another trip to bob Evans we r on our way. Good for the local economy and easy in and out. I have only seen issues at Walmarts in large population areas.

The Walmart in SE Tucson at I-10 Exit 275 has red signs posted NO OVERNIGHT RV PARKING. I believe that either the city or the developer put the signs up. I appreciate that they make the policy clear.

I've always wondered about this, myself. Locally, I always see RVers parked outside Wal-Mart, but never when traveling. I recently downloaded the AllStays truck and AllStays Campground apps, and am looking forward to putting them to use.

This is what we do as well. For about $30/night I've got full power, water, and safe location.

There is also a free app that you can download called overnight parking finder. It gives you Pilots, Walmarts, Sam's Clubs, and rest stops in all states where you are allowed overnight parking. We use it all the time in our travels.

Have stayed in a WalMart a couple of times but only because I was doing 1200 miles in 2 days. One of my air race buddies used to brag about camping at WalMart for free. The I would ask him how much he spent in the store in the morning.
