It's all about mutual respect. My CFO and I have an understanding, she keeps our assets fluid and I am the transportation chief (read driver/building super here). If I need or desire something for the rig I check in with her. I tell her how much money I need and how urgent the problem/wish is. She arranges the finances to make things work. We are not financially independent (read wealthy) , worked over 30 years as a redneck highway maintenance worker( no, not a shovel leaner, snow removal expert/pavement rejuvenator ) for WYDOT. So did she. budgets are tight, but we live a pretty fair life in retirement and go and do mostly as we want. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread. Peanut gallery- out !
