    Vogel State Park

Currently enjoying a break in the winter grasp, so we decided to dewinterize and get our second trip in. Half price camping and the place nearly to ourselves was just a nice topping to kids going to the grandparents for the weekend and we get some peace and quite to go along with the scenery.

Chris & Karen - yes, the picture across the stream back up to the RV is wonderful.......well done ! You may want to share it with GDRV to possibly include in the Owners Picture gallery section of the GDRV website.

We will be back down into the teens tomorrow night, so it's a quick rewinterize and tuck back away tomorrow!

Vogel is a beautiful small Georgia State Park 10 miles south of Blairsville. I would never want to tow a trailer in there from the south, however as the roads are crooked andmthe mountains too high.

We keep our 323BHS across the mountain at member ownerd Unicoi Springs Camp Resort.

We came from the north, but we live in the Smokies so are pretty used to towing over the big stuff. I don't think we know how to tow on flat straight roads!

As a Florida flat land resident, that would scare me. My neighbor has a cabin in Blairsville. When I told him I might come up to visit with my RV he said I would not be able to get to his cabin with the RV due to the roads

We can't park ours at the house. Couldn't even get our little 25' Outback we had previously up the driveway. It's a challenge actually just backing the 3500 Ram up the driveway, but living where people drive across the country to get to makes having to park it at a storage yard worth it!
Driving the mountain roads aren't bad though. We've gone along some twisty gravel roads winding along the mountain sides. Just slow and easy! Now driving through a crowded city, screw that!
