It is not the "quiet cool" system that is advertised in other brands, but it is a ducted system.

In the "quiet cool" systems, the return air is ducted also, which cuts down on efficiency and output.

The new Coleman system is in between the two systems, as far as quietness, but is much more efficient than a "quiet cool" system.

Has anyone removed the window side trim pieces to gain more room?
    Thanks for any feedback.

It is just the 2 of us so we turned our table and just use 2 chairs, more room and wks good for us.

Whe we were shopping I checked ac sound level. Best I recall was around 55db. Our previous Reflectin with Dometic ac was in upper 60s.

We purchased a Solitude in February but chose the 344 GK - ample space in the dining room, no problem with AC noise, huge fridge, space for my quilting needs. On our first "full time" trip and LOVE our unit.
