Pretty timely post. My imagine is at the dealer now to have a slide topper installed and a couple of warranty issues addressed. One is a faulty thermostat.
I let them know about this solution. They apparently had not dealt with this before because they were not aware of the fix.
    Gotta love forums.

Noticed my AC would run to set temp, then would not go back on. Switch plate came off easily and when I put it back on the settings were all over the place. Faceplate? Thinking of different thermostat. What do I look for? 12v or 24v DC?

This is bedroom AC by the way.

Got my imagine back last week and went out for the weekend. Dealer replaced the thermostat under warranty. Worked perfectly. Had to use the furnace as it got down into the thirties.

Unfortunately its not as simple as replacing the thermostat with something from the big box store. The Dometic digital thermostats don't control the air conditioner(s) or furnace directly. The thermostat communicates with a control board mounted in the AC or near the AC. The control board tells the AC or furnace what to do.

Does each ac unit have its own control board? I think my main ac unit cools but does not go back on again on its own. Only been trying the ac for the last couple days so don't have a lot of time in. I have it set to cool and fan to auto. Bedroom definitely does not come back on.....had a 10 degree shift and never re engaged. My BR thermostat went wonky so new one coming.....just need to address not coming back on.

Each AC has its own control board.

Do you have the multi or single zone thermostat? In other words one thermostat for each AC or a single thermostat for the entire coach?

Separate thermostat for each. Checking connections in bedroom AC and saw blue wire not connected to anything. That correct?

Should the blue wire be connected or not? It is difficult to say given there is no standard color scheme. However not all is lost.

The thermostat uses three wires: 12+, 12-, and communications. Given the thermostat has a display means the 12+ and 12- are working. Since the AC runs at least once, and the fan is operational this points to a functional communication wire. A round of about way of saying the blue wire should probably not be attached to anything.

Have you tried a system reset?

    To reset:

    1. Set the thermostat to off.

    2. Press On (or the on/off symbol) and the + or upward triangle at the same time for three seconds.

    3. Display will - -

    4. Press on/off to complete initialization.
