Best Dish satellite for Wally
Wondering if anyone has a preference of pairing Wally receiver with Tailgater, Playmaker or Pathway X1 satellite dish?
Thanks

Poppysfifthwheel recently purchased a Wally to run his Pathway X2. He is quite happy with it and said set up is easier than using the VIP211Z receiver. But I haven't heard of anyone pairing one with the antennas you mention.

I thought when we were at the Quartzsite Rally you mentioned using the Wally with the Tailgater 3?

BobbiJoe, as Jim said, I have a Pathway X2 and used the older Vip211Z receiver for a couple years but this summer I purchased the Wally and I am so pleased at how much better it is in most ways. It does seem to set up easier and the graphic interface is 100% better. It operates just like our home DISH system. The only complaint I have is that when I don't have my satellite dish setup, the receiver insists on going through it's setup without interruption to be able to watch previously recorded programming. Other that that minor annoyance, I absolutely love the Wally receiver.

We just purchased the Wally and understood it came with the satellite dish as part of the package - wrong. Maybe we went about this backwards?
Thanks for the input

I contacted DISH directly and think the representative was inexperienced & gave me misinformation - paid $109 for the Wally.

Okay, well that's a bummer. I don't buy from them directly. Amazon has the Pathway X2 by itself for$405. https://www.amazon.com/Winegard-PA-6...rds=pathway+x2

Will do - next time we have a question I'll use the forum. I get much better information!
