    Price Variations on Amazon

Many of us here use Amazon to order camping related (plus more) items. Most of us have seen significant variations in the prices of a given item over a period of time. This is to make people aware of a helpful site, called camelcamel.com

By pasting the URL of a specific item from Amazon into the tool on the camelcamel site, one can see the price variation in time for a given item and even set it up to receive an alert if the price falls to a set point.

I have literally saved hundreds of dollars with this tool. OK, I haven't really saved, I just end up getting more things

If you use Chrome for you internet browser you can install an extension called "Honey". It will show in the Amazon listing if it's the best price or not.

Wow! I wish I would have seen this post before purchasing my two Honda generators a week ago. The prices were wildly bouncing around.
    Thank you for this post!!

I've seen different prices to different buyers at the same time. I think they try to predict how serious you are and will post a higher price if they are certain you are going to buy anyway. I've seen prices drop by leaving items in my wish list. Still a terrific service and I often use the free same day delivery (Phoenix to Tucson) option.

You can also build a wish list in Amazon. I call my "camping". Then go to camelcamelcamel and select tools and then sync your Amazon wishlist with them and they will watch your list items and email you when there is a price drop.

You will have to select "share" within the Amazon list to get the link to input in camel. It has came in handy.

For Facebooker's there is this page that has came in handy also.
