Andersen Trailer Jack Blocks
I'm not sure if you'd consider this a mod, but I do. I bought a pair of these and popped them on today.
I could definitely tell there was a big improvement, the trailer barely sways when I walk around in it and I'm a pretty big guy.
Here's a YouTube video on them

Looks interesting, I like the magnet feature. Anyone have experience with these and the 6 pt leveling system? At $270 for 3 pairs, I wonder if the benefit outweighs the cost.

To minimize movement on our landing gear, I drop the extensions only about half way to the ground and then extend the electric legs. This takes a while, but ends up with the half the distance drop leg and half the distance electric leg. This, combined with the pin tripod takes out most of the movement in the front of the trailer.

This past Christmas our son bought us a pair. We have been using them along with our triipod for our 5 month stay in FL, 3 months in and haven't had to do any tweaking on the nose to eliminate wiggle. The trailer feels more solid than it has in the past. They're worth the bulk and space it takes up in transit.

I use 8x8 wood blocks from a job I did. I just kept the cut offs, about foot long. they are little clunky but much better than 90$ for plastic buckets.
I am sure if you go to your local lumber yards they will have scraps around you can ask them to cut to your desired size

To the contrary . . . I try to drop the extensions a different amount each time so that I move the "lifting" engagement between the motor pinion and the leg rack to a different part of the rack each time, to even out wear rather than lifting in the same 2" section of rack all the time. Running the legs down under no load should not cause any appreciable wear and is probably good for spreading around the lubricating grease.
