Tsmeds...power wise absolutely no problems. The hemi is a beast and the 6 speed tranny keeps it in the power band well, but probably not as well as the newer 8 speed.

Your wife will like the 1500 suspension better. The rear coils give it the best ride in its class. However, it does allow for a bit of porpoising on undulating roads. I'm installing airbags this spring to stiffen things up a bit.

The only other concern is payload. Mine is rated at 1440 lbs payload. I haven't weighed the combo yet but I am close to the limit. Loaded tongue weight is probably 800, 900 lbs. We don't carry much in the truck.

    Soon to be 2800BH owner

I’m no fan of ford by no means but if payload is a concern f150 with the max payload option is the way to go. No one else comes close. I want to upgrade my truck bad but I’m trying to hold out in hopes of the Toyota Tundra diesel. Next year [emoji22]

I pull my 2800BH with a 2014 Ram 1500 with the Hemi. Power is no problem. Before I had a 2011 with the Hemi but 6 speed tranny with a different camper but same weight. This 8 speed does get better fuel economy even towing. However I do plan to upgrade in the near future. And I have been living in this 2800BH since August of 2017 and love it! Great choice.
