New GD Imagine 2970RL Owners!
Hey Everybody!
Greetings from Minnesota! Like others, after months of looking and searching and getting frustrated my wife and I secured the deal on a 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2970RL at the Minneapolis RV Show this last week. Got a sweet deal on the camper which makes it all the better! Looks like we'll pick it up later in March.
We were going to "settle" on a different camper made by a large manufacturer, nice trailer by all means! But every time I would get on their forum people were talking about fixing this and fixing that, things that in my mind should not have to be repaired after a year of ownership on a reasonably expensive camper. Needless to say I did not have 100% warm fuzzies.
My brother purchased an Imagine 2500RL last spring and loves it! We talked to 4 other GD owners at the RV show and they went on and on about the excellent build quality of GD campers. When we saw the show pricing on the 2970RL, sat in it for about an hour, it was all over but the signing of the papers.
Super excited and can't wait to pick it up. And I have 100% warm fuzzies.

Thanks! Looks to be a lot of good info here. I'm sure once we take ownership I'll have plenty of questions.

Quick question - perhaps I missed it but, upon registering, is there a setting someplace that enables an email to be sent out to me if a thread I started has been responded to? I don't see anything in settings or general settings. Just don't want to leave people hanging. . .
Thanks

There should be an option in the settings for that. I was receiving them in the beginning and turned it off as it was diving my wife nuts with all the emails. I’m on the site frequently anyway, so I see the new posts. I just briefly looked at the settings and didn’t see it, but I’m sure it’s there somewhere.

Welcome to the forum. I certainly hope your new coach is error free. But don't despair if you find some things that need warranty repairs. You can come to the forum for guidance on how to get them fixed, or call Grand Design customer service and they will see that you're taken care of.

Congratulations on your purchase. We were also at the Minneapolis show and were sold on Grand Design(we bought a 384GK Solitude). We were considering another maker but the Grand Design won us over with the quality of craftsmanship and having read the forum for a few weeks that sealed it. The wife and I wish you the best.
