    Pendant light mods starting

Tried to take the clear glass pendant off by taking just the hardware off.....no luck. kept digging and realized i had to take the 2 screws out at the base. I also gently pulled the wires down from inside to get to the connectors....wow, those connectors are cheap...just a little crimp... will put back with wire nuts and electric tape. Wife going to look for new pendant globes today.....

the clear is way too bright and always looks dirty.....here is what i have so far

Those are the standard connection used all over the rig. I found any 12v connection used those crimp caps with up to 4 wires in some. I have the same lights on my 2015, and I'm going to spray them with rustoleum glass frosting to make them a little more homey and dim them a bit.

Those look good, almost like the originals in the earlier models. Are those just from depot/lowes?

Lowe's actually. I did have to grab a slightly larger metal washer and I grabbed a rubber one of the same size. The original opening on the Grand Design pendants on the top is only about a half inch. The newer pendant is around 1.5 inches. I took the pendant over to the hardware section to get the perfect fit......I grabbed a washer at HD that was a hair too big and did not sit perfectly flat.....did not want to take a chance on too much pressure cracking the sides. New set up is perfectly flat. I will try to get pics this weekend when I hang th ed 2nd one, and redo the 1st.

Jim did you use the original bulb? I've been trying to figure out how to change the bulb in these mason jar lights

Original bulb was put back in.....only change was pendant, added a slightly larger rubber washer and a slightly larger metal washer....plus regular wire nuts tapped as well......turned out pretty good i think. well so does the captain! LOL
