    Walking on slideouts

I have looked and can't find anything on this.
Dose anybody know if it would be OK to walk around on top the slides, of course next to the main body of the trailer, to clean them off before putting them away.
    I'm about 2:20 pounds

    Thanks
    Matt J.

I don't have the actual answer, but I don't see there being a robust roof structure like the roof to walk on the slides. I do my best to do everything from the roof if I'm wiping snow, dirt, etc from the slides. If I can't reach I'll use a ladder and go from the outter part of the slide. Maybe I'm wrong, but without knowing how the slide is built I prefer not to take the chance.

Walk on it all the time. @250... it is much more solid then the main roof. Yes you can walk on them.

Good to know. I have yet to have to as with my blower and broom, I can remove any debris from the roof. I would expect it to be pretty hardy as it is part of the framing that keeps the slide square and is under some tension to be able to seal inside.

If you take a factory tour, you'll frequently see workers walking on them. I've walked on them for years while doing maintenance. They feel very solid. But I'm a ways under the 200 mark.

I saw a YouTube video of a solar install where the installer was walking on the slides, wondered if that was OK. Reassuring that the factory crew do it routinely.

    Thank you all
I'll give it a go, slowly, and see how it works out. It's just really hard to lubricate the top seal from the roofline and I don't carry a ladder around that long to get to the top of the bedroom slide on the 5th wheel.

The Reps do it all the time at shows to demonstrate the strength of the laminated slide walls.
