Thank you all for responding. You made us happy campers. Now we move on to a Reflection 337 and a Ram 3500.

2019 Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab 6'4 Bed pulling a 2019 315RLTS
Jim,
Hopefully you can help me out. I am considering purchasing a travel trailer and my eyes are stuck on the 2019 315RLTS. I am also purchasing a 2019 Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab 6'4 Bed with all the bells and whistles. Specs below:
2019 RAM 1500 4x4 Crew Cab 6'4 box
Engine 5.7-Liter V8 HEMI® MDS VVT Engine
Transmission 8-Speed Automatic 8HP75 Transmission
4-Corner Air Suspension
Trailer-Tow Group
Axle Ratio 3.92 E-Locker Rear Axle
GVWR 7100
Payload 1780
Base Weight Total 5318/front 3165/rear 2153
GAWR front 3900/rear 4100
GCWR 17000
Max. Trailer Weight Rating 11240
My question is, will this truck be safe to pull the trailer? Please let me know. Thank you!

Not sure which Jim you're asking, but if it's me - NO, NOT EVEN CLOSE.
You're pretty much going to be over on all the numbers, except for the Max Trailer Weight Rating. Your tongue weight will be about 1,200 lbs. That leaves you 580 lbs for fuel, people, pets, Snickers bars etc. You'll be over on each axle as well.
Stopping will most likely be an issue as well, since your truck only weighs 7,100 lbs. You're trying to stop an 11,000 lb trailer with a 7,000 lb truck
No matter how you spin this, it's not going to fit.2016 Grand Design Reflection 313RLTS

I'm not Jim but I do own a 315RLTS. Check the hitch receiver rating on the truck. A 315RLTS's tongue weight could easily exceed this rating. The factory dry hitch weight is wishful thinking. By the time you fill 2 propane tanks and add a battery you'll be at or near 1200lbs. 2nd A/C will add another 75 - 100. This is with no cargo in the pass through or any food, water, clothing, etc.
For the receiver rating, add the weight of the hitch, around 100lbs. Double that for a Hensley style hitch.
With your payload at 1780 you could end up with less than 400lbs left for passengers and anything else you might carry. This is an XL travel trailer. I really think you'd be happier towing it with a more capable truck.

My guess is you'll be over your GVWR and Payload rating when full loaded. The 315 will have a tongue weight of 1100 lbs minimum. Add the normal stuff up front and you'll be at 1300-1400 lbs. Subtract that from your 1780 trucks CCC and you only have 380-480 for passengers and other gear. The 315 is a 3/4 ton TT at the minimum.
You'll be at 10,000 loaded up. Couple that with 38' long and IMO you'd hate towing it.

The base weight of the vehicle is 5318. Thanks for the reply though. Just trying to get smart before making the purchase on both. I appreciate all of your responses. I don't normally get into forums but you have answered my questions. Thanks a lot!

The loaded tongue weight on my 297RSTS (the 315's little brother) is in excess of 1400 lbs.
Re-pack bearings necessary?
