310GK fireplace (Model 47II100GRG)

Has anyone been able to figure out how to remove this fireplace from the cabinet? Mine has quit working and cannot get to the screws to take out unless I remove the trim from the mantle. Trim piece over the fireplace seems to have been attached from the backside. Don't want to tear up the mantle trying to get this out to work on.

I took mine out last week to run TV wiring and it is a little tricky. Those four phillips head screws on the top go straight down and you can only get a screwdriver in at an angle. I used a number 0 and number 1 phillips (at an angle) and got them turned out then a magnetic screwdriver to pick them up. The screwdrivers slipped as much as they turned, but they eventually got the screws out.

Once you get the screws out, the bezel just lifts up about 1/4 inch then comes forward. There are four screws that actually hold the fireplace to the wood. They're easy, but use a magnetic screwdriver or you'll be shaking the fireplace to get them out.

On this one, a piece of wood trim is down on top of the screws that go thru the two tabs that keep the tempered glass from being able to be lifted up and out. Don't want to tear the trim up trying to get it off.

Its tight, but they got them in and they'll come out the same way.
