Hydraulic leak and where to start.

Noticed a Red spot on the concrete this morning after operating the slide. Sure enough it was fluid coming from the edge of the underbelly. Removed screws from underbelly on one side to see what was going on. Was hoping it was a hose for the easy fix but no such luck. Fluid leaking right from the piston that operates the slide. It appears to leak from the piston if operating slides or leveling system.

Do i call Grand Design or Lippert for help? I have a real oily mess under there. I think I will need a mobile mechanic for this one.

I have a 2016 350M and also just discovered a leak, coming from somewhere under the living room slide. Haven't discovered if it's a line, a fitting, or a cylinder yet. Kind of nervous... I'll let you know what I find out. I may try to exercise my extended warranty on this.

I did send an email to GD customer service and awaiting the reply in to how they plan on helping me. By looking up Lippert part # 342328 on the label of the one leaking on mine the cylinder is close to 250. Then you have the insulation to replace, Coroplast to deal with and the spray foam to seal things up. Decent amount of work for sure.

Dumb question but did you try to tighten the fitting to the cylinder?

It's the actual piston into the cylinder seal. Nothing to tighten that I am aware of. Please tell me if I am wrong and how to do it. Still have heard nothing from GD customer service.

Called and spoke with Jerry and they are sending a new cylinder out to me. Hopefully it is not to terrible to install. Don't look like a whole lot to it but if anybody has pointers I will gladly accept them.

Wondering if I have the same issue as you. Attached are 2 photos of the underbelly of my Solitude 310 GK. Photos are of the living room side. Fluid appears to be leaking somewhere over the middle of the wheels to the rear wheel. It's been setting in my RV Garage for over 6 months in hot temperatures...approaching 100 degrees. The fluid appears to be running down the bow in the underbelly and then dripping onto the floor...see arrow. Does my symptom look similar to yours?Click image for larger version.
