Iam going through the process of pulling all the screws and filling the holes with sealant and putting screws back but Iam using #10 stainless screws. What Iam finding is some of the broken screws and ones not yet broken are rusted. Which tells me water is wicking along the screw into the walls or slides. Putting sealant in the hole seals the head of the screw when you snug it up by hand not a screw gun. Took 2 hrs to do the bedroom slide on my 17 303. So I think Iam going to use a 2" strip of eternabond tape and cover all the srews top and bottom on the slides side walls after tightening all the screws by hand. Do it once and never do it again. After the slides are done will do the same to all the screws holding roof trim and awning mounts. Very time consuming but worth it because water is your RVs worst nightmare.

I just found 4 screw heads sheared off on lower slide out trim. Have to get on a ladder to check the rest. GD is closed for holiday so can’t call to get guidance, thanks for posting this.
