Tips for Asking Questions on the Forum (Discussion)
The thread with the same name, Tips for Asking Questions on the Forum, that is a sticky is now closed for comment. The idea is the sticky will have just one post which has a summary of all the pertinent information related to the topic.
This thread is for discussion on the topic and will be referenced from the first thread. If you have a comment or suggestion on this topic, post here!
Note: offtohavasu didn't post the above, I did (Moderator Howard). To get this in the first post I had to copy offtohavasu's post and then substitute my text.Last edited by howson; 04-18-2019 at 01:53 PM.

2nd that!
This forum is filled with posts that have vague, uninformative titles: "What I did on my summer vacation."
With titles like that, the reader has to open the post and scan it before deciding it worth the his/her time.
Let's create a title-guidelines sticky so posters can make their posts more useful to other users.

I had posted a thread about using informative titles last year. I just stuck (and closed) the thread for future reference.

There have been a few different threads on using informative titles . . . but, we seem to be slipping back the other way.
In the last couple of weeks, we have seen:
Help all 337rls owners
Puzzled!
Taking the plunge
Bolts?
Did something exciting today!
and more . . .
Just a reminder that it is easier for folks to find what you are announcing or asking about, if the title has something meaningful to do with the topic.
