How does the TCL TV come off the mount?

I would like to remove the television so I can install some brackets to hold a sound bar. Looking at it I can't tell how it's attached exactly to the mount other than it appears that there's a v-shaped bracket. Does that mean that I just have to lift the TV to get the whole thing off?

I would also like to change the mount to one that has a longer arm and locks in place. But I'm worried about the backing plate being robust enough. Has anyone pulled the false fascia off and looked at what's behind there?

JUST did this about 3 hours ago! LOL Yes we only had to lift up on the TV and it slide up and out of the bracket. We had a person on each side and made sure we did it evenly so the metal would not hang up on the little ledges in there.

Yes . . . the TV lifts off the mount with the plate that is bolted to it. The "V" is the separation point, although it looks like you have a power cable woven through this connection. This may be jamming the bracket fit . . . and, unplug it before you start sliding metal edges across that wire !

There are some brackets in use that are an exception. On the top of my bracket (2017 Reflection paired with a TCL TV), there is a rotating metal tab that has to be moved out of the way in order to slide the TV up.

Thanks for the tips. And yes, good call on unplugging the power cord. I'll let you know how it goes :-)

How much of a "Pull" do you need to lift the TV out of the bracket?
I have tried to pull it up, but it does not budge. I do ot ant to do damage.
It is a TCL in the living room of an Imagine 295rl, above the fireplace.
I need access to the usb port on the side for a Firestick

Check out post number 4 above. On some units, there is a locking tab on top of the "V" mount. Reach behind the television and rotate the tab out of the way in order to lift off the television.
