Actually 44psi is what's on the sidewall.

That is curious . . . tire industry info says that Load Range 114 tires (which are commercial tires but not really LT tires) reach their 2600 lb carrying capacity at 69 psi. Does the tire sidewall actually say 2600 lbs at 44 psi ?

Does GD factor in propane and two batteries with the dry pin weight? That right there is 150 lbs. Add the 5th hitch @150?lbs and thats 300 lbs added to the 1200 dry pin weight. 1500 lbs added to the rear axle. Throw in some gear in the front basement and under the bed and you're easily at 1600+ lbs. Way to much for your Ram 1500. Now add in occupants and it's no wonder you're overweight.
Guess you could bag it, install some LT tires, say your prayers and hit the road. Or trade in the 1500 on a capable 1/2 ton like a Ford F150.

I just double checked, the sidewall says 44psi max pressure. Yes, it does show a P (P275/60) but it also shows the load rating of 114 and it is also printed on the sidewall "max load 2601lbs"

"P" Rated tires are not very stable, you get a squishy feeling even when not towing, you can also feel it on windy days when not towing

Thanks for all the feedback, this was very informative. It's clear to me at this point that I seriously misjudged my payload and am clearly overloaded at this point. I'll probably be looking into upgrading my truck.
