Landing Legs ACME Screw Lubrication
Added some chassis grease to the front landing leg's ACME threaded rod that's below the top mounted ACME nut.
Here's a pict of what it looks like from below(not mine).
Hitched up, removed landing legs foot pads, removed spring loaded leg pins.
A few dried up lumps of grease fell out of the legs. Could see up into the legs, rods were dry.
Held up the telescoping leg as it was too tall to pull out of the solid leg while I pushed 1/2" slit foam pipe insulation loaded with a line of grease up into the leg till it hit the bottom of the ACME nut. Rotated foam & pulled back out, added another line of grease & repeated.
After both legs greased, ran the legs down before reassembling to spread the grease on the rod & then back up.
Sprayed some dry WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube PFTE spray on the legs that move up & down.
Checked the bevel gears at top of the legs where the 2 grease zerks are, lots of grease in them.
Used flexible grease gun on rear stabilizer ACME rods that are shorter & have a stop collar at bottom of the rod that blocks foam.
Got the idea from a youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3y4-iE4oAEQ&t=26s

Yeah, I saw that video a few days ago myself. Pretty ingenious use of a piece of pipe foam insulation. Will be trying that myself.
