Oh, I like those! If I get the white plastic boxes from Century Plastics, which is the direction I'm leaning, I will get those for the tops but do I need to do anything else?

Hi Paul - Will you use one outlet vent or two? If your layout works for one, you will need a hose tee, but can probably find one of these at Home Depot or similar. If routing would work better with two outlets, you can get a matching one from Grand Design. (This is what I did for my second battery box).

I would likely join the two boxes with a PVC Tee like my current 2 single boxes. Then I would run a tube all the way to the front and out the existing outlet. If you look closely at the example I posted earlier (here it is again), it looks like that's essentially what this owner did but with 4 separate boxes.

Hi Paul - I would probably try to get the sags out of the vent hose sections between the boxes so that there is a constant upward slope towards the outside vent . . . but, other than that, this looks like a viable plan.

Thanks, Rob. Might be overkill, but those will certainly do the job. Farm supply stores like Tractor Supply also carry those for use with poly water tanks.

Paul, I copied your system to vent my two 6v batteries. Each is in its own box. I cut a hole in each box top, inserted a pvc drain flange in the hole, then clamped the hose to the flange, brought the hoses together with a tee, and vented it out using the built in exhaust to the outside.

To vent a home Depot box, black with yellow snap lid, I used white PVC drain fittings. The stuff for p traps and sink drains. I used a sink tail piece and an extra slip joint nut to sandwich the tail piece into a hole drilled into the top. Same with bottom of box for down vent.

Or you could get AGMs and you don’t have to worry about venting.
