    FYI: What most people don't realize is that the axles in 5200, 6000 and 7000 pound axles are the same 3 inch tubing. The difference is the hubs.

    There is also a significant difference in the wall thickness of the axle tube. At least there is with LCI axles. The 5200 axle has a .150” wall and the 6000 axle has a .218” wall. I don’t know about the 7000 lb axle or Dexter products.

    Dexter has different wall thicknesses for 6000# axle 3" tube: medium wall is .25", heavy wall is .333" per Axle, Inc. in Elkhart.

    I do the same thing but I use chalk on the tires and then drive a few miles look at the chalk pattern to see if is wore off the tire equally.

    I just put Sailun 16" LRG tires but I have no need for 110# PSI. I looked at tire pressure load charts and am running 85# in them which gives me a little more capacity than stock.
