On the sensor, in the middle, is a soft pad (actual sensor) and we put a lite film of silicone from the edges of pad to plastic housing to seal the sensor from moisture...also put a thin film of dielectric grease on the pad itself as they sometimes stick to tank bottom....this was done when received and prior to installation.
