    2018 f350 B&W companion 2015 Reflection 303 hitch set up

New F350 CC SRW 6.75 bed should be here next week. I lifted the 303 2” and changed to 16” wheels to help with the extra height of the new truck.
I was hoping to assemble the new companion 3300 nonslider hitch before truck gets here.

Can anyone with this set up tell me what height you have the hitch at, what holes you have the trailer pin box set at and weather you have the posts on the the hitch to the front or rear?

With your set up how much trailer to bed rail clearance do you have and with tailgate down how much room do you have to the trailer. I know that’s a lot of ??? ButI would appreciate it

Well I have awnsered all my my ???
B&W 3300 non slide hitch is set at the center bolt height. And the the pin is set at 1” to the front of the center of axle on the truck.
I have 7-1/2” to 8” of bed clearance, 7” of clearance with the tailgate down to the front of the trailer.
The center of the pin is about 4” closer to the cab than my 05 GMC but I still have a good turning radius.
The truck drops about 3” when hooked up ready to camp. The trailer sits level when hooked up
So I don’t have to change out the axle blocks on the truck and with the 18” tires on the truck it has enough
Clearance to fit in the garage. I towed about 250 miles this weekend and everything went good.
I took it easy with only a few hundred on the truck. The 350 rides smoother than the old 05. What a difference
13 years makes with all the new technology this thing has. The old 05 served me well. All I can hope is the new one will do the same.
Now I have to study the owners manual and figure out how to use all this new technology. Lol

Glad it worked out. Friend of mine swapped for a new 350 and I was floored at how smooth it rides empty compared to older trucks. Never ridden in it while towing, but empty I was impressed.

Glad you figured it out and congrats on the new TV - your going to love it. The new fords are very nice - I jumped into one after 25yrs of GM without issues. Love my 17 F350 CCSB PSD 4x4. Was impressed with our first 1500mi tow. Our 28BH was definitely nose high with this truck at first, but swapped the trailer 15" wheels for 16", and put on ST235/85R16 Endurance tires which gave me nearly 1-3/4" of lift over the previous tires. Rides fairly close to level (or at least close enough) with the new setup and no noticeable tire temp difference front to back. Using a Demco Autoslide.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have a 2017 Sierra 3500 HD and will be picking up our Solitude 310GK this weekend. I am installing a B&W Companion hitch. Is there a recommended position for the hitch plate. I have it adjusted to the middle of the base but not torqued yet. Is this the place to start or is there a specific position for the uprights. Thanks in advance.

The center bolt posion is a good place to start.. I just guessed to put in center and was right on and didn’t have to move it.
It’s so easy to change if you have to change it. Just bring your toque wrench with you when you pick up your new 310.
That’s a beautiful coach by the way. Congrats on your New rig. I think that’s going to be my next one too. But after just getting the new f350 I am going to have to wait a bit.
