Leaving Pets in Hot Weather (With AC!)
It’s supposed to be hot and muggy this weekend...at least for Wisconsin. High 80’s and humid. How reliable are the air conditioners if I need to leave my cat in the trailer while I’m away for most of the day? I’d be hooked up to shore power. I’m just nervous that a breaker might trip, or something else happening. I might decide to not go because of this.
What do you do for these occasions?

Try this website - its not very user friendly, but they have a temp sensor that connects over cell or wifi.

Someone else recently posted this site. I bought one, but haven't hooked it up yet. Please let us know how it works for you if you get one.John and Jean

We leave our dogs in the RV when we go to work and that's 3-5 days every week. We haven't had any issues but then we've not had breakers tripping, either.
If you have breakers tripping, there's a reason for that and I'd get that corrected.SOLD my 2017 Momentum 376TH being pulled by a 2014 Ford F-350 Lariat, FX-4, Crew Cab, Longbed, Dually. Not pulling the 5er, catch me on my 2013 CVO Harley Ultra Classic.

We have a Verizon MiFi that we use for internet when not in range of WiFi.
Also have an inexpensive WiFi camera connected to the MiFi.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FEDC0M8/
Also have a wireless temperature display that displays inside and outside temp.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LDFKEVA/
The camera can pan to the temp gauge or pan to the dog.
We view the camera several times when we are out on hot days and the dog is in the trailer.
As long as the shore power is still working then everything works to view if shore power goes out then camera won’t work.

There are other WiFi based temperature monitors that are battery powered and can connect to a MiFi. The MiFi has an internal battery that will operate for over 8 hours without power. One device that would work to monitor temp might be this one. https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Temp...dp/B01M1OPOZB/ it’s not cheap but has excellent Amazon reviews.Jerry & Linda

We make friends in the RV park to keep an eye on the animals. I don't worry about the circuit breakers, I worry about the park power. If we don't have someone to watch them, then we don't go or take them with us.

I’m the one that is using the Blustream sensor. It works as long as you have internet connection, but you need a second phone or tablet. It’s working really well for me now that I git the kinks worked out.
Here’s my previous thread and review.

We leave our dogs for long periods of time now and then and haven't had any issues with breaker tripping even with both ACs on. Like already mentioned a bigger worry is campground electric going out . For CGs that you don't know anyone to warn you of events such as power outages it makes it a crapshoot.
We go anyhow if there are no chances of storms that could cause an outage.
You could always call the office for updates on if the ele is still working while you're gone for peace of mind. Or even ask to be notified by the office if there is an outage.
