    PEX Fittings Info

The recent plumbing problems got me to looking into PEX fittings.
Besides HD, Lowes, Amazon, I was wondering where to get various fittings.

My searches got me some sites with lots of fittings to look at so I can see what's kinds are made.

Here are what may be a couple of dumb questions, but I don't know the answers:
What's the best way to unfasten or remove the metal clamps that hold the Pex tubing onto the fittings?
Can standard hose clamps be used to replace the Pex clamps

Hi Al - See the attachment to post #1 of this thread for the best tool that I have found for removing Pex clamps.
    https://www.mygrandrv.com/fo...ng-Pex-Clamps?

A standard hose clamp is a good temporary fix foe a leaking soft hose connection, but will not create enough compression force to seal a Pex tube to a fitting. The Pex clamps and the tool to install them are available at any Home Depot or similar. These parts and the tool should be in everyone’s tool box.
