I grew up (to a point) in the southern USA. I was taught sight spelling so I cannot sound out words. Which is OK because I am not sure that American English is my native language. I'm still searching for one. Somehow I still made it through grad school with a GPA of 3.6. Thank the Great Architect for spell check. By the way, I am not going to grow up any more. I am still working on a happy childhood.

"Sometimes hard reading" - My approach to simplify the understanding of a writing, which contains misspellings, grammatical errors and misused terms, is to look past these distractions. I Give my attention to the word or term's phonetics within the context of the writing, in order to determine it's intent or definition. I'm old school when it comes to proper spelling, nonetheless, in today's environment of a deteriorating English Language, I've had to adapt.

And then there of us that just cant spell. Combine that with auto correct and I have a field day. Ill admit I am one of them. I spell phonetically (sp) and was a part of the new math. Has caused me issues all my life, Being born in Peoria, English is not my second language, but I will admit in some of my travels I have had a bit of an understanding issue with the in-laws in South Mississippi. My college roommate was from Long Island. Even after 2 years I still did not understand him sometimes.

So I guess I miss and make a lot of the spelling and grammar issues - and just read for the information.
