    Slide support stabilizers

Well we have our brand new 337RLS and the maiden voyage is this weekend. After getting help from many posts on this forum we have all of our supplies and essentials. I was wondering has anyone invested in Slide supports to stabilize the slides and take some weight off the extending rods? I have been researching and see that some mfg's don't recommend them but see lots of reviews where people swear by them.

Not a good idea, weight shifts for what ever reason and the main body goes down and the slide can't, could cause damage you don't want. Put a bottle jack under the frame at the springs, takes out a good deal of the bounce even in the slides.

Consistent with Chris's response, the GDRV Owners Manuals have specifically stated to not do this. Trusting you have a 2018/2019 337, page 156 of your Owners Manual covers this. You can view your owners Manual on line with this link to the GDRV site: https://www.granddesignrv.com/owner-...owners-manuals

    Enjoy your new 337 !

I think “don’t use slide supports” is sort of like “don’t ever lift the trailer by the axles” . . . there are definitely wrong ways to do either that could cause damage. We use slide supports under the recliner & table slide to take out a lot of wobble. They only need to be hand tightened and only work on a solid (concrete) pad.
