Looks like some of the leaping knomes I saw last year when we were at Prineville St park the week of the big eclipse. I'd call those a Canabus.

A sociologist, taking a deeper dive, might draw some parallels with The Great Depression (think "Grapes of Wrath"). With the shrinking middle class, the destruction of our social safety nets and programs put in place by FDR, and the rich just getting richer off of everyone else, I sometimes have to stop and think, "There but for the grace of God go I."

There certainly is no shortage of idiots on the interstate system these days. I drive quite a bit for work/on our camping trips and it never ceases to amaze me some of the stupid crap people will do. From fooling with their phones, bald tires, under inflated tires, erratic lane changes, night/rain storm driving with no lights, no turn signals, eating pasta with a fork, overloaded/poorly loaded vehicles, etc. - just as soon as I think I’ve seen the worst someone else one-ups the last idiot. Stay alert and give goobers like that a wide berth. Be safe out there!

    FT4NOW,

YOU’VE seen this too? I just recently posted about this in the “where to put backup cam monitor” thread! It was a long time ago, and I wasn’t driving, so I had a good long time to “looky-loo”. Shocked, as it was a 6 or 8 lane divided highway. Even if it was a matter of listening to a book on tape (at the time, cassette tape), still, it only takes a second for the driver in front of you to suddenly brake.
