Thanks to all. It is great to here that there are generations passing this on. I have 2 brothers who are eagles, one has 2 sons who both are. My son is close trying to keep him motivated (like pushing a rope).
We are all from the same troop which has over 60 eagles. We are still involved as well as our scout master of some 50 years. Our troop is a lot smaller now, hard to compete with sports and other activities.

Again thank you for all you do and Happy Father's Day to all.

Made it to Life. Then "life" got in the way. Mom lost her job, and I started working more to help pay the bills. Something had to give, scouts was it.

Both of our sons are Eagles w/ palms (2008 & 2011), Troop 97 Shreveport, La. My wife and I are both Silver Beavers (2010 & 2011). We are still active with the troop and I teach Astronomy and Weather merit badges during our annual winter camp (GSR).

Troop 122, East Arkansas Area Council. Became an Eagle in 11/1971.

Returned to Scouting in 1984, restarted Troop 122 and was Scout Master, then moved to Little Rock Area, Became a Webelows leader, later Cub Master. Worked with another Troop in the area for a bit until son decided be loved baseball more.

It is where I got my love for camping.

How many of you went through Order of the Arrow? Hardest part for me was to stay silent for a day!

I made the ordeal as a kid, hard to keep quiet and work. My son is in the brotherhood.
