    Converter location

    Hi,
I’m trying to locate the converter on my 2500RL. I dismantled the water pump box in the garage and it’s not there. Any ideas?

    Thanks

I'm not familiar with your particular trailer but I would bet the converter is close to your house electrical panel.

I would say it's behind your electrical panel.

Solved- my TT has WFCO model WF-8955PEC power panel with integrated converter. I was trying to determine if I need to replace converter with a “smart” converter to manage the battery charging. Look like this does it all.

Where was the converter located? And how do you gain access?
    Thank you

If you have the same 2500RL it will be located with the power panel where the breakers are. It may be all one piece as stated above.

Yup, below the breakers in the power panel box. Open the fuse door and remove two screws, the panel will tilt off. It's not as integrated as they lead on, it's very easy to swap it out. There's a boondocker converter that swaps right in.

I do not know your specific model, but I would pull some drawers and look behind/around the distribution (circuit breaker/fuse) panel.

In my 3000QB, the converter is located behind the fuse box, way deep in that same panel, behind several flexible AC hoses and screwed to the deck with three Phillips screws. The two ‘Reverse Polarity’ fuses are on the left end, not easily accessible by any means. You pretty much need to pull the converter out to get the new fuses in! They are either 35 or 40 amp fuses, depending on your specific converter model. They are regular ATO or ATC automotive ‘blade’ fuses (good luck finding 35 amp fuses; I ended up ordering on the internet @ Plus Parts House 35Amp ATC / ATO Auto Automotive Fuse (20pc)).
