Should it take 24 hours for the fridge to cool to a setting of 6-7 ?

Terry, don't know your model but generally, yes. Ours does. Very common.

I turn ours on the day before we leave. Ours is set on 6 as suggested by someone at Grand Design. We load the ice buckets along with everything else and have never had a problem. Got to have the ice for Happy Hour......LOL

We put ours on 9 and my beer never seems cold enough 3 days later, UGH

We put two six packs in the outdoor refrigerator and crank it to the coldest setting. The beer is really cold. On our last trip we had two bottles that froze. Going to set it one setting lower the next time.

Oh, yes.... I forget about that outside fridge, that is actually where my beer ends up since I cook out a lot.. and yes it does get very cold

I also believe outside temps has a lot to do with the time to cool down, our camping has been in Texas so far and it has been close to 100 degrees on all of our camping trips.

It did take overnight for ours to cool initially we have a 2018 Solitude.
