    Antenna.... has never worked?

    We've got a new Solitude 310GK, and have tested 4 different locations with no luck - the antenna does not seem to do anything.

    Is is just supposed to spin around in a circle, and not raise up or down? We've never gotten any reception so not sure what it could be other than either not wired properly or defective.

    Any recommendations appreciated!

    My 1st thought is, is the booster turned on, not sure where it is in a Solitude, our is in the bedroom. . . . . .

    edit. . . or a loose connection. . . . .

    a few ideas....

    first... are you in an area that has close-by local stations?

    > you can use the "TV Towers" iPhone app to locate towers in your area

    > be sure you have pressed the tiny button the the wall plate that switches between antenna and cable (the light will come on when you have selected antenna)

    > make sure to go to the settings on the TV and select antenna as the input (not cable) and scan for channels.

    On our 310GK, the booster switch (small black push button) is on the cable wall plate in the cabinet next to the stereo. This booster is for both TV's (main & bedroom). When it is on, the green light will be on. Button is small and black on black so hard to see.

    I have gone through all of the TV cable (coax) connectors I can find and every one of them was loose. Some to the point they just fell off when I touched them. Make sure all of your are tight.

    PS The antenna (a King Jack) does not raise or lower. It rotates a little more than 360 degrees, but does have hard stops. If your spins around multiple times, the cable connection inside the antenna is broken.

    THANK YOU!! I was trying to look for the buttons mentioned above behind the tvs, and the one in the bedroom does not move at all. We did find it now thanks to your photo above!

    Glad you “the button”. I don’t know why they are hid so well. Why not put that plate by the main tv? Dunno.

    Having a similar problem with ours. When I turn the antenna one tv is clear but the other the picture breaks up. When I turn it to tune the living room tv the bedroom one gets messed up. the booster is on. A couple of days ago both worked well? What's the deal?

    A loose/bad connector that gets moved when you move the antenna?

    A number of us have had troubles with breaking the 21045 RG-6 cable inside the king antenna. This is a very thin and weak cable. Check out this thread from last August starting with post number 20. I replaced my cable with a heavier duty RG six cable and this solved all of my issues.
