If this problem is caused by a siphoning action, wouldn't a tee with a riser higher than the top of the tank break the siphon? Powerscol's air/vac valve on the upper end of the tee would assure overflow while filling would not exit the upper end while allowing air to enter, breaking the siphon. I know siphoning gas using a hose with a small hole in it doesn't allow siphoning to last long. DAMHIK #gastastesreallyawful

Its not a true siphoning action but rather the water sloshing in the tank and squirting out the vent pipe. If you go uphill or turn it does the same thing. There is a lot of power there with the water moving. Ill try and draw up a picture to indicate what I am up to.

I haven't encountered this problem with our current trailer but our previous Jayco would lose a third or more of the tank. The water came out the overflow in a steady stream, it would do it sitting in the driveway. As soon as water came out the overflow it would start a siphon and collapse the top of the tank to the point it would stop, about a third. The tank was plastic and only about 8 inches deep, so it didn't have to move but a couple inches to drain a third. I could observe the tank doing this. I ended up installing a valve on the overflow as mentioned earlier, never had another issue with it.
Curious to see your solution. I don't normally travel with a full fresh water tank but I probably will someday, don't want this problem.

I was following SOB up a hill the other day on my motorcycle. I was getting sprinkled on. So the problem is not exclusive to GD. Well I'm pretty sure it was the fresh water tank, I really hope it was the fresh water tank.

Here is something I drew up as a recommendation in the plumbing section. Just looking for someone to test the theory.

I was as looking thru GD parts lookup to see what parts are listing in plumbing.
See a small picture of the 54 gallon water tank that shows as used on some Reflections & Solitudes.
The 54 gallon fresh water tank is rectangular, about 7.5" tall.
Looks to have 2 fittings on the side for fill & vent, 1 on bottom for drain + level sensors.
The vent/overflow fitting is almost to the top of the tank's side wall. Don't know if that just does a 90° down for the vent pipe.
Does look very easy to slop water out.

About only other photos I could find for a similar tank were from an ebay listing that is same size & almost same layout without the bottom drain.
