You do not say what year(s) you are looking at. For the current trucks, I do not think they are the same (but do not know for certain). I am basing this off the fact that the BW p/n for the two bases are different and visually, they look quite different (the RAM base looks much wider). You could call BW (or any other hitch manufacture) when they are open and I am sure they could tell you.

Ram's pucks are spaced a lot farther apart than Ford or GM.

I've often wondered why the Big 3 wouldn't or couldn't agree on a standardized puck system where the hitch itself could be interchangeable between the three. After all, it's just bracketry. All three beds are flat, a common dimension and puck socket would have been easy to accomplish. Then, the hitch manufacturers would have only had one puck system to adapt to rather than three. JMHO.

Probably because, One; each manufacturer thinks their puck layout is the best, second; it proprietary, and third; they just don't care about aftermarket suppliers and the headaches/added costs engineering three different in bed hitch puck systems cause.
Another example of why something so simple has to be made so complicated.

Minnow have to agree with you. Just got my Reese 18k hitch for my new F-350 DRW. fairly easy to install. BTW, don't know how Chev or Dodge parts work but if you order from fordparts dot com and deliver to the dealer you can save money. I saved over $200 on the hitch. The dealer gets a kick back from Ford so will sell it for less.
