    Relocated TV Riser Switch.

To prepare to mount a sound bar I first relocated the switch that raises and lowers the TV. I would have preferred to center it next to the radio but there were some clearance issues in the back from an electrical outlet. After I got done moving it I thought this would be better place for GD to mount it to begin with.

I added a photo to show the wiring. I had to pull the wires back from the original location (above the TV) by reaching down in the hole in the left rear of the space the radio was in; it was easy. The photo showing the switch hanging from the old position has one pair of wires already but and pulled back.

That is GENIUS! I've been thinking of relocating the switch because it is in the way when raising the TV. Never occurred to me to just put it in the cabinet. What did you do to cover up the hole?

I haven't covered the old hole yet, Terry. I'm not sure what to do but will probably come up with a blank plate of some sort.

One more note about this hack.... The wood where the switch came from is 1/8"; the wood where I mounted the switch is 3/4". I used a multitool to cut a nice, neat, square hole.
