315RLTS: Installing the EMS-HW50C (Any Tips?)

Country Campers--I copied the quote above from your intro post. I've got the EMS-HW50C (still in its box) along with 3' of 6 AWG from Lowes. Any tips on installation into the 315RLTS? Where did you put the remote digital readout?

I pick up my 315RLTS on Monday, so getting stuff ready.

Since the wire is stiff, I pre-formed the bends a bit before putting the wire into the EMS, still a bit tricky getting the wires into the terminals.

I did mine in a fifth wheel. will be a little different in a TT. I think your power panel is in the bottom of the hutch? Others have put the EMS under the drawer in the bottom of the hutch next to the power panel.
I put the display beside the control panel, where your slide switches are. You could probably put the display up close to top part of the hutch on the paneling wall above the counter top below the top hutch.
Prewire the 3' piece you got before you install the EMS where ever you decide to install. Also make sure your screws are no longer than 3/4"- 1". I believe the flooring is only 3/4" thick.
Hopefully others will se this that have done it in a 315 and give you some better pointers.
    Thanks
    Brian

Buy an extra 18" piece of the heavy four-conductor cable so you don't have to cut the power OEM cable and try to stretch things to fit. I wish I had...

I know it's tight those boxes, but seeing how close those wires are to the 2 screw connector, you may want to consider installing some of these on the threaded side:

When I installed mine I simply disconnected the wire from both the panel and outside connector to install on my workbench at a pre-marked location. Worked way better than trying to fight the stiff wire laying in the basement area

Howard, please take pics and let us know how that project goes. I don't have the EMS-HW50c but am considering one. I have done a lot of work inside the hutch where the panel and converter are. Space is limited in there. It's not like a 5er where you can remove a panel in basement. Hope it goes well and I can pick up some installation tips.

I apologize, but I don't understand the reference to the "2 screw connector".

I was wondering about that. I'm going to wait until I get it home where I have my full arsenal of tools before attempting the install.

I installed ours under the hutch. I installed the display on a panel I made for the upper cabinet. The wire for the display is long enough to reach the main unit. Click image for larger version.
