2018 F150 Eco Boost - 295RL
Just a quick question, as I am sure this has been asked before but. what is the thoughts on a 2018 F150 c/w standard trailer tow package Eco boost pulling a 295RL 150 series reflection fifth wheel?

The dry hitch is 1391 and loaded ready to camp hitch weight probably be between 1600 and 2000 pounds. Now add in the hitch weight and people and stuff in the truck and that number should be higher than the yellow tag on your door jam that gives your payload ratings. Some F150 have payloads as low as 1350 pounds to 2400 pounds so it depends on your F150 specs.

My F150 has a payload of 1560lbs. We normally do not haul with full tanks and only weekend campers.
It may still be a little heavy on the hitch weight.
thoughts?

My thoughts are that your truck will be highly overloaded towing this trailer.

With one passrnger, hitch weight , battery and propane you will be maxed out on your payload before you load anything in the rv.

Watch this Youtube video--please! It is incredibly important for your family's safety (and others) to be well informed on this subject. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwFLOBrADBs
There are helpful items in the REFERENCE LIBRARY, too, that will do the math for you if you have the numbers. (I think as a trial member you can access the reference library. If not, let me know and I'll post the items here for you.)2017 Ford F-350 DRW 6.7L Platinum

Nope - don't do it. My F-150 has the HD Payload package, with a sticker of 2166 capacity. I used to tow a Jayco fifth, and was right at the limit. Had to go the TT route, as all more recent small 5th's have gained weight. Based on specs, this one will be over my capacity, and far beyond yours. Perhaps a brand new F-150 with the HD Payload could get under the wire...but it would still be pretty close with only two adults. Any kids (or even pretty large dogs), and nope.....

Towing our 295RL ready to camp with empty tanks puts me right at my 2200# payload limit with a F150 HD. You will definitely be over on payload.

Overloading tow vehicle
I pull a horse trailer - different from the campers I know - BUT before I bought my truck, I had a bad overloading experience and the bottom line is that you can never have too much truck (within reason) but you can kill or injure yourself or others with too little. Not worth gas savings etc. for a fun weekend or a long haul.
