Yup. And also I'm only loaded to 18.5K. And then there's the roads. If I decide to go with MorRyde, it's 8K axles - no question in my mind. Heavier steel = stronger.

When you have the Mor/Ryde installed, the first thing they do is take individual wheel weights, so they know the appropriate size suspension to install. There is no guesswork, so show up there loaded as you would travel.

And one of the last things they do is align the unit with Hunter Engineering equipment, documented by one of our owner's pictures of his installation.

They explained it all very thoroughly and the comments I'm getting here are also what I expected. Now I've got to decide which way to go. $2,400 for DIY disc brakes (done it before - no problem) or lay out the long buck - $10K for the MorRyde. Big difference - the conundrum being if I do the disc brakes and then want the MorRyde later it won't happen because I'm not flushing the brake investment.

    Decisions, decisions ...

I custom ordered this coach. If MorRyde had been offered at that time, it would have been a no brainer.

    Thanks for the info.

Thanks. If they fit. I'll check that out with them though - good compromise so I can get the brakes now and do the suspension next year.

I only have two "axles" (they're not really axles any more), but the difference in the way the trailer rides and tracks is night-and-day over the OEM suspension. You already know the disc brakes will stop it in about 1/2 the distance the original drums would. As for cost/benefit, that's something only you can determine for your situation. As full-timers, it was a no-brainer. The upgrade improved safety and will extend the life of the coach by reducing the stress on the chassis and repeated shock loads to the rest of the structure, cabinetry, and contents. Don't try to second-guess MOR/ryde's engineers, either. They know what they're doing when they select the suspension units and springs for your specific application.

One of these photos may be what Steve Gravelle was referring to (Hunter alignment).
