I have thought about getting one of these but modifying the outlet on my RV concerns me but the connection would be more secure and easier to attach.

I bought a gray Valterra product because it looked and felt noticeably tougher than the other products I was seeing. We've used it less than six months, but I'm optimistic about its future. My only complaint about it has been that while its end clamps are easy enough to put together (with a drain or another hose) they become very hard to undo after a few days, need a hammer.

I just went to their web site to get you a link but I don't see the product there. If you find it in a store you'll notice it; light gray, heavy-duty feeling.

Unfortunately the hoses DO NOT crinkle much when you're moving them around or putting them away. Noisy crap hoses will never be important to me, but I know that there are guys who like to wear socks to bed too. Each to their own.

As boy scout shouldn't you wear socks to bed? You know, be prepared and such. Lol. Anyway, +1 on crinkle crap cylindrical confluence

We’re on our fourth year using the red Valterra hoses with no issues. I use plumber’s silicone grease on the seals to keep them in good shape. Good luck!

Reviving a bit of an old thread . . . just had a Rhino Hose split wide open (yikes!) on a grey water dump () Sometimes you just get lucky!
Now . . . this hose has spent 3 seasons (about 12 months total) in the Florida sun . . . I guess there is a reason that they sell replacement flex tube, but you can reuse your end fittings.

Lucky indeed Rob but why in the world did it split???? I use the same hose. We keep our gray valves open all the time but the next time I dump my black tank I'm gonna cringe. Actually, I think I'll wait until my neighbor is gone just in case....

Thanks for the heads up Rob.
I’ve had mine a little over three years. I’ll also be watching it closely. I didn’t realize you could buy replacement hose or reuse the ends. I’ll have to check that out to see how they attach.

My hose is always in the shade but I may replace it next winter anyway. I can't think of anything much worse than a hose failure after pulling the back handle.
