    Question Sewer Hose question

This is the best forum for this question, i guess.

So I've used rhinoflex sewer hose over the last 5 years of camping. I've had 2 hoses in that time and both developed pin hole leaks.. Not something you want to notice while dumping. So I'm once again in the market for a new sewer hose and wonder what have you all used and how well as it stood the test of time?

Everyone will have their favorite. But I have stuck to the Rhino Flex for two reasons. First, they have given me good service for over 7 years. Yes, I have had leaks, and replacements. I have replaced connection seals. As long as I don't trample it I have had good results. But, the most important factor, drum roll please:

I love the crinkle sound it makes when I fold it up.

Totally stupid I know, but I am happy with my Rhino Flex system.

I use Dominator hoses, they also have the crinkle noise and stay in a collapsed state for storage. I put end caps on when traveling, otherwise they stay hooked up and exposed to the elements 24/7. I've had my share of pin hole leaks. Overall I'm happy with them and I usually buy the 20ft combo pack for replacement hose. It comes with two 10ft hoses and a clear elbow. I wouldn't be opposed to giving Rhino Flex a try if I had the opportunity.

Funny you should bring this up just now... We've used RhinoFLEX for three years and just had a need to replace for the second or third time. Being full-timers and moving frequently, I realize some things won't last as long, but come on! So this weekend I compared the materials in the standard RhinoFLEX and the RhinoFLEX Extreme at Walmart. The material in the Extreme is of a different composition and appears significantly tougher. So, I but the bullet and brought home the Extreme. I hope it was worth it, but only time will tell.

Now to go hitch up in the rain...

Sounds like a good option, does it crinkle when it's folding up?

We use Thetford's Titan hose- two 10 foot and one 15 foot. It's only our second season using them, so don't know how long they will last, but they seem pretty robust. The only thing I don't like is they don't collapse to the same compact size they were when in the box. The 15 foot section barely fits into the 8 foot storage tube. The 10 foot section barely fits into the 5 foot storage tube that came with the FW.

As in make a noise? Not really. It behaves more like a treated fabric - Gortex or something. Manufacturer says it's "TPE" (thermoplastic elastomers... whatever that is).

Ever try to stretch the rhino flex with the caps on? Doesn't work.(trust me take at least one cap off, if you would have seen me and my son you would have died laughing)

I have had good luck with the rhino flex so far. Seems like a good product.

I have used the RinoFlex but I find it lasts a lot longer it I cover it and keep the sun off. Also, I do not allow it to rest on the ground.
