A man after my heart, I'm a Mopar guy from way back in the early 60's. Most of my family worked for Chrysler at the transmission or die cast plant in Kokomo Ind. Before we started downsizing the wife and I had 6 vehicles including a 39 Chrysler Coupe hotrod, 66 Charger, 74 Dart Sport and my running around 93 Stealth. I'm finishing up the restoration of the Dart Sport and my Stealth will be for sale soon. Gotta get the herd down to one eventually.

When the wife and I got married 41 years ago we had just bought a 74 Dart Sport. That car has long since gone. Well fast forward a lot of years and I bought another 74 Dart Sport to restore just like the one we had when first married. Been working on it when I have time.
Pics are when I first brought it home, after media blasting the body, replacing the whole rear end body panels and paint, rebuilding and installing the engine, and restoring and installing the interior. Almost there.

Cool old Dart! I had a buddy in high school('75-76ish) that had a 340 4spd Duster around that same model year. That son of a gun was fast, we tore up some tires in that thing lol!!

A 1966 Charger was the other car I was looking at when I chose the RR. It was actually a much nicer car (read mint). But being the dumb teenager I thought that long Hurst shifter was just too cool plus the exhaust with cherry bombs came out right under the doors Mopar guy too

With the first gen Chargers, 66-67 you either loved them or hated them. Once, guy at a show thought it was an AMC Marlin, I never thought they looked anything a like. My son and I both had 66 Chargers and used to go to shows a lot. We rebuilt his when he was 16, and it gave him an appreciation for taking care of his car and taught him some mechanical skills. It also kept father and son connected and communicating with each other. We had a lot of good father and son talks working on his car.

My daughter and wife used to help with the cars also. They helped put the 440 into my Charger. The whole family had dirty hands from time to time.
