Hub falling apart
This happened on the trip home from the dealership with my new 2600RB. The loose thing in the hub appears to be a protective cover for the grease port - it is a conical thing with a circular rubber seal in the middle. Question is how to re-attach it - it's difficult to see what is going on in there. If I press it into place it sticks with the trailer stationary, but I don't know how secure it is. Does it screw on?
Thanks,
Paul

To re-attach securely you will likely have to remove the wheel and tap it back on with a rubber mallet.
Maybe it's some illusion from the photo but to me it looks like the brake drum is glowing orange. If it is... you have bigger problems with that hub.2018 Dodge 3500 6.7 Cummins SRW w/Aisin

All made to worry the first time buyer/RVer to death on their maiden voyage from the dealership to home..... it's like a big "PSYCH"! LOL!!
Much better than the one where the husband turns to the wife in the TV says " Gee honey, that wheel and tire going past us into the ditch looks awful familiar"......!Jim and Annette
