Fleeing from Forest River to Grand Design's Transcend 28MKS

Hi, Dee and Chuck here. We went to the Hershey, PA RV show last Thursday and fell in love with the Transcend. We were not going to necessarily make a purchase, but after weighing our pros and cons, we went back on Sunday to make our purchase. We had a hard time choosing between the 26RLS and the 28MKS, but went with the 28MKS because of the massive storage throughout. We had been looking at the Imagines for over a year, but am confident we will love this just as much. We're good with stick and tin vs. fiberglass. We didn't particularly like the driftwood, but by the end of Thursday we grew to love it. One of the things I don't like about most campers is the darkness. Not a problem anymore. We pick it up on October 1, just in time for our annual outing with a large group of friends to Knobel's Covered Bridge Festival. We can't wait to show it off.

Hi Dee and Chuck. Your story is very similar to ours. Our Forest River was 12years old and beginning to have some (lots of) issues. We were "just looking" and fell in love with our 303RLS. Now the Reflection is in the yard! We are newbies here too. Covered bridge festival, eh? Now that sounds like fun! PA has some fantastic campgroungs. Enjoy your new camper!

Our first RV was a 26ft Forest River TT. That was back when they were using harsher chemicals in the glues and I was getting sick when in the unit. Turns out I was sensitive to them. Never had a problem with a subsequent RV.

Welcome to the forum, it is a great place with lots of good info and people.

Will do. We'll be taking it out for a long weekend shortly after taking delivery and are talking of going to the Delaware Shore shortly after.
