    Auto level while storing

I have a question about storing my trailer. I park on a slight grade. Can I use the auto Leveling system to store when not in use. Is it bad to have it on all the jacks all the time.
    Thanks for any insight

We auto level when we store our rig. Now, we're on flat land, not a grade at all. I think using the jacks helps preserve the tires (which would be carrying the full weight on them while stored).

I have a flat pad I store mine on and always auto-level. It unloads the tires nicely and I can't see where it would have any adverse effect on the jacks at all...that's what they are there for. Not sure what your slight grade is but if auto-level works on it, I would expect that it would be fine.

Thanks I didn’t think so as people live in them My grade is about 3-1/2” I have one set of wheels on two 2x8’s and that levels it out so it’s not too bad. Is it better to use a lot of the jack to exercise it or put blocks and only use a little of the jack length. I guess using the rear jacks isn’t much different than having it on the front all the time. I’m just thinking that it would be nice to be level so I could open up the slides any time I want. Thanks

Well this is new to me. I don't believe it's ever been addressed here as far as auto level while in storage.
    Is this a common practice?
Do the tires need relief that this will provide?
I'm not against adopting a new practice if it's beneficial.

Leaving the jacks out long term you need to ensure they don't rust or corrode. I have been told in the past to use WD40 but now I see some people are recommending against it and use a silicon spary instead. It doesn't take much to damage the seals in the cylinders when you retract the jacks. That said I never use my jacks when storing but I do put 2X6 under the tires with a plastic cutting board attached to the top so the tires are not resting on wood when stored.

Stops the wood from leeching out the moisture in the tires.

It kinda depends on what kind of gravel it is (what type of stone/rock).

We went to a tire seminar and they said the worst thing to store your rig on is cement. Then wood. Asphalt is OK as the oils in asphalt will keep the tires from drying out too much.
