    mods, but of course...

    1. Put dust covers on over the new locks. Found them at padlocks4less.com. The covers snap on nice and tight, we will see how long they last.

    2. Got the new window installed in the door. Oooh that is nice compared to the frosted one. The new one has some light tinting to keep the glare down, but it is oh so nice to see out of another window. I have to believe it is safer too, as you can see who or what might be out there.

It was mentioned in another thread, but you really have to rip the inside frame apart from the outside frame. I found a gasket scraper to work magic, popping the connections one at a time until I could get my hands in and go to town. Many of them broke, a few of them came out though.
Here is a pic of what we are talking about. There are about 20 or so of these all around the window frame holding the two shells together with the glass between.

Once you get the inner shell off, the glass might be loose ( you followed the directions and taped the old glass to the outside frame, and the outside frame to the door, right?) My glass was held in pretty well with the factory sealant, as was the outside frame. Pop the new glass into the new outside frame,
and tape it in. Be careful not to leave finger prints near the edges of the glass as they will be in places you can see them on the inside, but cannot get to to clean

The finished product looks like this:

    Hi Jim,

I'm in total agreement with replacing these locks! What is the exact cam width, length, etc you purchased? My trailer is in the shop so I don't have access to it.

    Thanks

The extra length cams I was able to get for a really nice hold are 1-5/8" Straight Quarter Turn Latch - 130058 from padlocks4less.com. This gave me an additional 1/4 inch of grab over the factory ones that seem to be 1 3/8". I bought both 1 1/2" and 1 5/8", and then fit them to see which ones to install. The longer ones fit, so more grab is better.

Hey Jim, great work. I totally plan on stealing a great many of your ideas. I was wondering if you could show me your outdoor kitchen setup. I hate the burners and I'm really wanting an outdoor TV. I saw you posted about your bedroom mount.

hmm, guess I don't have a picture of the outside mount, just this picture of the mount attachment itself. I put one of these on the inside in the bedroom, and one outside on the vertical piece between the refrigerator and the burners. We use the burners, so didn't want to remove them or the fridge. We can simply move the tv between the bedroom and the outside kitchen now as needed.

since we are on a mods thread...

    ... went camping!

    - like camping
    - like the Imagine
    - like the shoe storage right beside the door
    - don't like how small it is for a family of 4
    - like that more space is there for the taking
    - don't like that they didn't just make it usable
    - like that it soon will be usable

The cross brace needed a few extra screws. It was only there to hold the panel, but now it will hold the front of the second shelf

2 coats of stain and finally got around to assembly this evening. The extra shoe storage will be welcome.

There really isn't a standard length, as you find them in whatever length you need. For my application with our Imagine, I used a 7/8" cam lock body.
