    Sleeper-sofa setup

We have a 2018 GD Reflection Model 29RS 5th Wheel.
When we setup/unfold the sleeper-sofa, we notice that the bed is not flat on top. The portion towards the center of the RV is the seat cushion and the portion to the back is a flat board. We have not found anything to makeup the height difference. So you are always sleeping uphill or downhill depending where you place your head.
    Has anyone solved this situation?

I have the 295RL with the same problem. When we have people stay with us they sleep with their heads towards the middle of camper/ That way they feel like they are sleeping downhill. I also have bought several extra pieces of memory foam for the sleeper sofa which seems to have helped.

The sofa is designed to be mounted in a slide so the legs on the sleeper are about an inch too long. Lippert includes blocks with the sofa that should take up this difference. I would bet they weren’t put on the sofa.

You can probably call your dealer or LCI and get the blocks.

Not certain if what you folks are experiencing with your version of the Lippert sofa sleeper is the same or similar to many of our situations of a few years ago but attached are 3 links with information on solutions and ideas. Where have you been before. I have this problem also and was looking at cutting off metal and all. This looks like the solution. I called and talked to Lippert Customer Service and they want me to send them a picture of the sofa and the PDF to them so they can get the right parts to me.

There have been a lot of people on here doing all kinds of mods to them and this is the simplest solution.

    Thank you so much.

ON EDIT: I went out and checked mine and it has wood blocks under the sofa and it is a dual fold over but it still has a problem. When folded out the front is 2" higher than back.

I have contacted Lippert and they would like to have a picture of it so I put the sldes out and unfolded the sofa and took pictures.

Will have to see what Lippert is going to do.

We noticed the same issue. We measured the height difference between the two surfaces and if I remember it was two inches. We then went to Wal Mart and in the bedding section found a foam pad. It is smooth on one side and dimpled on the other. We got one that is the same height as our measurements. It is a perfect fit. We put a blanked over it and now you have a very comfortable bed. Best part is in the morning when you make the bed the pad rolls up and fits in the space when you lift the bed up to fold it back into a couch, so the pad is always handy.

If Lippert supplies these blocks would GD have a whole butt load of them lying around?
It would be nice if they would send them to you free, I would like to have them as well.

That would be a question for GD. It can’t hurt to ask.
