Need advice on route from Oregon to Nevada
I'm boondocking outside La Pine, Oregon right now but heading to Reno, Nevada tomorrow, and I've never been there.
I was looking at the map and this seems like a good route, can someone that drives this area give me a yay or nay or
any pointers for traveling in the current weather conditions along that route?

We are up there quite a bit. we take 97 to 39 turns into 139. If you went this way you would want to go left at 299 to Alturas to pick up 395. It's probably a little longer but a nicer drive. Fuel up at the Indian casino & you might make it to Reno & avoid the $4 fuel here in Calif. We take the cut off to Lookout & Bieber as we live near Susanville. Good burger stand in Newell near the HS. 395 is a lot of high desert.
