    Free boondocking in Alturas California

There is a casino called the Desert Rose in the town of Alturas, California.
They have a large, flat, mostly level gravel parking lot behind the casino and you can park here for several days for FREE.

    Really nice scenery too.

DMB, Welcome to "the rest" of California. Yes, much of it looks like this.

Safe travels to Reno or down #395 highway!

    Hey Thanks!
    Speaking of traveling to Reno...
When we leave here tomorrow we're going to stop at a small park in Standish for the night, with full hookups
so we can do laundry and dump tanks and fill our fresh again. Then we'll be heading to Reno on Friday.

Can someone tell me which of these 3 routes is the least "hilly"?
Keep in mind I don't care about length of time it takes, I just prefer driving around mountain passes if at all possible.
Or if one of these routes is way more majestic then we could go that route.

Probably your blue route is best, not #341 . I use Fernley to Silver Springs but there is a grade. Should be fine. Pilot Flying J in Fernley if you care.
